The last full day of class for junior high and high school students is Monday, June 17. Regents exams begin on Tuesday, June 18. Students taking a Regents exam should review the exam schedule to determine the day(s) and time(s) they need to be in attendance.
Junior high students (7th and 8th grade) will take final exams in English, math, science and social studies from Tuesday, June 18 to Friday, June 21. Junior high students will be released at the conclusion of each final exam (10:00 a.m.).
High school and advanced middle school students will take year-end Regents exams between Tuesday, June 18 and Wednesday, June 26. View the exam schedule that indicates the dates and times of each exam. Please be sure to carefully review the schedule to ensure your child is in attendance. If you or your child have a question, you should contact your guidance counselor. No make-up exams will be administered.
High school students will attend only when they are scheduled for a Regents or mandatory review session. View Regents review class schedule It is imperative that your child does well, so please encourage your child to take advantage of all review sessions offered by his or her teacher.
Career and Technical Education (CTE) students will be in session through Monday, June 17.
High school students are expected to be on time. Students will not be permitted into the testing area if they are more than 30 minutes late. Morning exams begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. and afternoon exams begin at 12:00 p.m. Students are required to sit for a minimum of two (2) hours for all exams. All book bags, backpacks, purses, cell phones, i-Pods and other electronic devices will not be allowed into the testing area. If these items are brought to school they will be subject to search and will be retained in the front office. The school district will not be responsible for electronic or valuable personal items. All valuable items should be left at home.
Students will be permitted to use school office phones to make arrangements for transportation. Buses will run their regular morning routes. In addition, buses will run at the conclusion of morning and afternoon testing sessions, see bus schedule below.
Lunches (sandwiches and salads only) will be served through Friday, June 21. Breakfast also will continue to be served through Friday, June 21. Please be sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and comes prepared to do their best! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the guidance office at 629-3302.
