Dear Watervliet Elementary School Families,
Summer is your season for relaxing, and spending time with your families and friends. For us, it has also been time for improving our teaching skills, working on schedules, and preparing for school’s opening!
As you may be aware, a number of changes have taken place in the Watervliet City School District over the summer. My name is Ryan Groat, and I am principal of the Watervliet Elementary School (WES). I have 25 years of experience in education and was previously the WJSHS Principal for the last 11 years. Joining our team as WES assistant principal is Mrs. Catherine Casey. Mrs. Casey is coming to us with 14 years of teaching in the Bethlehem School District. We are both very excited and look forward to working with you and your students.
For the 2022-2023 school year, all students will be starting classes on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 8:30 a.m.
