Each spring, Watervliet Elementary School celebrates the important people in our students’ lives with Grandparents and Special Persons Night. Historically, students invite their special people to visit their school, meet their classroom teachers and friends and share what they have learned during the school year.
Because of the ongoing COVID-19 public health concerns and the Governor’s executive order closing all schools through the end of the academic year, we are celebrating Grandparents and Special Persons Night a little differently this year.
Each grade level has created a virtual tribute to their special people with messages, pictures and artwork submitted for presentations and slideshows put together by their teachers for Virtual Grandparents and Special Persons Night. Even though we are not able to host this special event in person at WES this year, it will not stop us from honoring the people who matter most – our families and special friends!
Please enjoy these presentations that our teachers have created with help from our awesome students!
