Dozens of Watervliet High School student athletes participated in National Biomechanics Day in April at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).
The high school students learned about the connection between science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and athletic performance by participating in a sports clinic at RPI’s East Campus Athletic Village.
RPI college athletes introduced members of the Cannoneer boys’ and girls’ basketball and soccer teams to the field of biomechanics research and STEM careers through demonstrations and activities based on biomechanics and Kinesiology.
