The New York State Education Department (NYSED) requires all school districts to update district-wide school safety plans annually. The plans must be made available for public comment for a 30-day period prior to Board of Education approval.

A public hearing will be held at the August Board of Education meeting, or the public may email any questions, comments or concerns about the plan to boepubliccomment@vlietschools.org within the next 30 days.
