The Watervliet City School District will host a equity focus group virtual discussion on Monday, January 11, at 6 p.m.
One of the district’s goals is to establish culturally proficient practices and raise awareness of systemic racial and socio-economic inequalities. With consultation and facilitation from Progression Partners, a comprehensive approach is being conducted with stakeholder feedback.
A focus group discussion with parents will gather varied perspectives and collect information on the climate of the school based on the experiences and expertise of parents. This information will assist the district in developing next steps.
