The Watervliet City School District conducted lockdown drills today at both the elementary and junior/senior high school. In alignment with the district’s Reopening Plan, the drills were conducted in a manner that maintained social distancing, while still preparing students to respond in emergencies. While the drills were instructional in nature, students and staff were reminded that if the drill were an actual emergency that required evacuation or lockdown, the most imminent concern would be to move to safety.
