Location: Business Office – Watervliet Jr. – Sr. High School
Salary: $30,000.00 – $40,000.00 per year (based on experience)

Job Description
- Duties include performing a wide range of administrative and financial management functions, including generating and processing purchase orders, assisting with payroll and employee benefit management, and other such duties as assigned by the Business Manager
- Assist with human resources tasks such as employee and retiree benefit administration, District attendance, and the onboarding of new employees
- Assist with payroll by calculating and updating changes in employee compensation and deductions, overtime pay, tax withholding, entering time sheets, etc.
- Respond to inquiries from District employees and the community, including but not limited to answering/returning phone calls, emails and faxes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a resident of Albany County, preference given to residents of the City of Watervliet.
- Applicant appointed provisionally – subject to score on upcoming Administrative Aide Civil Service exam (date of the exam to be determined).
- Either Associate’s degree plus 1 year of clerical office, or administrative experience OR high school diploma plus 3 years of clerical office or administrative experience.
- Computer skills including advanced use of Word and Excel (spreadsheets) and Google Suite.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Must possess excellent organizational, flexibility, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Appointment subject to fingerprint clearance.
