Special Education and Pupil Personnel Services
Watervliet City Schools believes in placing students in programs that are in the least restrictive environment which is consistent with New York State Education Department (NYSED) regulations. This means that a student with disabilities is provided with special education and services to the maximum extent appropriate with other students who do not have disabilities and as close as possible to the student’s home. Transportation
Transporting students safely to and from school and school-related events is the number one priority of Watervliet’s bus drivers. Elementary students who reside a 1/2 mile or more from school are provided transportation. Grades 7-12 students who live 1.2 miles or more from school are eligible for transportation services provided by the district. Learn more about WCSD bus transportation
