Kindergarten students got an early taste of Thanksgiving with turkey, cranberry sauce, veggies, fruit, cornbread, pumpkin pie and other holiday goodies during the Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast, which is an annual tradition at Watervliet Elementary School. Watervliet Elementary School Principal Loida Lewinter has decided to step down from her position, effective January 2019. Mrs. Lewinter has served as the elementary principal since the 2016-17 school year, and was the assistant principal at Watervliet Jr./Sr. High School for several years prior to that.
