As we approach Spring and the testing season, I am reaching out to families to remind you of the upcoming test dates. As a reminder, the 2022 Grades 6-8 English Language Arts and math tests will continue to be untimed, meaning as long as students are working productively, they will be given as much time as they need to complete the tests during the regular school day.
The dates for the 2022 grades 6-8 NYS assessments are as follows:
- Tuesday, March 29 -Thursday, March 31: ELA Assessments (Grades 6-8)
- Tuesday, April 26 – Thursday, April 28: Math Assessments (Grades 6-8)
- May 24 – June 3 Grade 8 Science Performance Test
- Monday, June 6: Grade 8 Science Written Test
Please take time to encourage your child to make their best effort over the coming weeks as they prepare for the assessments. Please remember that the assessments are a tool for educators to improve instruction and student learning and that these state assessments also provide valuable information about the work being done in our school and our district.
